Our system, Arnis Blade Craft, uses conceptual motion, standing grappling, bladed weaponcraft, edged tools, striking and trapping.
We study, examine and practice the Filipino Martial Arts. Period. Our Art, Martial blade craft, is an eclectic form of the Filipino Martial Art, Modern Arnis, using conceptual motion, improvised impact weapons, bladed weapon craft, striking, trapping and kicking. Unlike Martial Arts that are linear in progression, ours system is based on non-linear learning.
Our study bypasses the concepts of character development and discipline so as not to interfere with individual expression. Our system is based on non-linear progression, which is meant to be shared immediately. Student teaches student, concepts can be expressed by many techniques and all are guided by the underlying principle of conceptual motion. Our system can be taught in hours not years.
Our students, training brothers and sisters as we call them, are a tight knit, highly dedicated group of martial artists. As diverse as humanity itself. Our group is bonded through our common love for training in the Filipino Martial Arts. Through realistic training, drilling and sparring we further refine our skills. We also use a level system which allows us to further tailor our training intensity to the abilities and needs of our students. We have found this combination of a friendly training environment along with a solid, well implemented curriculum is extremely effective in producing very skillful practitioners in the shortest time possible.
The practice of the Arnis can unfold like a flower into years of study but the foundation, the roots, grow quickly allowing for immediate usage. Conflict is random; therefore responses must be immediate, tested in a full-contact environment and based on concepts that are useful.
